Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (medium term) (subclass 482)
The medium-term stream is for an employer, which allows them to hire skilled labour from outside the country to cover the labour shortages for up to 4 years. The employee will get the benefit of applying for permanent residency of Australia after three years. There are three steps involved in applying for this Visa application:
- Business Sponsorship Application.
- Nomination Application.
- Visa Application
Criteria for applying Medium Term 482
- The occupation for which Visa application is filled must come under medium- or long-term strategic Occupation list.
- An applicant must have at least two years of experience in the nominated field.
- Applicant must be nominated by an approved sponsor.
- Vocational English is must.
- Labour marketing test needs to be conducted.
